• Published since 1991, every volume of Ag magazine brings the reader the very best in contemporary photography, published to exacting standards on fine quality paper and presented with the greatest attention to design and detail.
• Each issue offers a selection of portfolios illuminated by critical writing from renowned authors such as A. D. Coleman and Gerry Badger, along with practical features by expert practitioners on photographic processes both old and new. The art and craft of photography brought together in a beautiful book.
• Recently-featured photographers include : Sebastião Salgado, Carl de Keyzer, Chris Steele-Perkins, Diado Moriyama, Jacques Henri Lartigue, Stepehn Gill, John Claridge, Hans Neleman, Stephen Shore, Simon Norfolk, Martin Parr, Mark Power, Alvin Langdon Coburn, Michael Kenna, Fay Godwin and Roger Ballen. Not all the portfolios come from such well-known talents, but every one of them is intriguing and beautifully reproduced.
• Central to the ethos of Ag is the fine-art print, and every volume features expert advice on ways to maximise your own photographic potential, whether that be through revisiting ’alternative’ processes or by applying digital techniques to traditional materials. Other areas of exploration include self-publishing, archival permanence and photographers taking issue on aspects of contemporary practice.
WHERE TO FIND AG • Ag is stocked in the UK by Waterstones in London, Manchester and Nottingham, and specialist newsagents and bookshops around the country including The Photographers’ Gallery, Cornerhouse, Photofusion and the National Museum of Photography, Bradford.
Unfortunately, since the closure of the Borders chain, readers may find it harder to obtain copies than previously, until our distributors have built up orders again. But copies are always available from us, post-free in the UK.
LABOR FÜR FOTOGRAFIE UND THEORIE
The CAMERA AUSTRIA project is dedicated to the artistic, theoretical, scientific, curatorial and publicistic exploration of photography in the context of contemporary art, new media and social developments. Special attention is given to current approaches that focus on the dispositifs of photography and new image media, their modes of operation and patterns of reception against the background of overall cultural conditions.
The horizon of photography is also constantly being discussed anew in such a general debate centred on positions in art : since 1975 through our exhibition projects (until 1996 as part of Forum Stadtpark), that feature key international contributions to contemporary photography ; through the Symposia on Photography held since 1979 and, since 1980, above all through publication of the magazine Camera Austria International and the range of Edition Camera Austria books. In 1989, the "Camera Austria Award of the City of Graz for Contemporary Photography" was endowed in recognition of the international significance of Camera Austria magazine and has been awarded since then on the proposal of an international jury every two years.
Since October 2003, Camera Austria has been continuing its programme at its new premises in Kunsthaus Graz. Thanks to ongoing exhibition projects, publication of the magazine Camera Austria International , and the study library now open to the public, housing an extensive collection of exhibition catalogues, artist monographs, books on the theory and history of photography, and an extensive archive of international art and photography magazines, Camera Austria is the most important interface between photography, art and society in Austria.
Camera Austria is financed by its members and subscribers, and is supported by funds provided by the City of Graz, the Federal Chancellery Vienna, and Styria Province.

Created in 2010, Landscape Stories is an independent and free online magazine dedicated to the presentation of stories and photographic work. Our aim is to connect more deeply a growing number of readers with fine art contemporary photography. Our goal is to bring together a collection of photographers from around the globe and to present their work to a wider audience. We encourage photographers to offer their vision of the world relating to a certain topic and their different interpretation of this artistic discipline as much as possible different in terms of subjects, concepts, styles and techniques. Enjoy, listen and share your dreams… Landscape Stories is founded and directed by Gianpaolo Arena, Andrea Gaio and Claudio Bettio
